Paul Lacovara

Paul is an award-winning film director and stunt coordinator. He grew up in the Central California coastal town of Los Osos, on the outskirts of San Luis Obispo. During his senior year of college at Cal Poly he was invited to be an extra on the film We Were Soldiers. It was on that set where he was given the opportunity to work his first day as a professional stuntman. By the time he was graduating and ready to make the move to LA to pursue his career in stunts, he was already working as a stuntman on Hulk. It didn't take long for Paul to start making a name for himself. Specializing in stunt driving, fight choreography, and wire work, Paul has found himself doubling many of Hollywood's A-Listers including Tom Hiddleston, Christian Bale, Eric Bana, Chris Pine, Ryan Reynolds, Bradley Cooper, Jon Hamm, and many more. In 2010, just shy of ten years into his stunt career, Paul received affirmation that this was exactly where he was to be! Paul found himself on the receiving end of a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture as part of the Star Trek stunt team and two Taurus World Stunt Award nominations in the categories of Best High Work and Best Specialty Stunt. Now with over 300 total credits, Paul has taken what he's learned in front of the camera and is now focused on the "action" behind it. Shortly before finishing the latest season of Magnum P.I. and Hawaii Five-0, Paul utilized both show's crews to work on his own multi-award winning film, 38 Minutes, which he wrote, directed, and produced.
